Dog Shelter

Pat's Nature Garden offers a comprehensive range of dog training courses tailored to meet the diverse needs of pet owners. We recognize that the state of dog welfare in the Bahamas is at crisis levels. In New Providence alone. According to BAARK's 2021 population survey,  there are 83,574 in New Providence alone, i.e. 60k over global expectations. Of this there are over 17,000 dogs roaming the streets (B.A.A.R.K, 2021). Stray dog population control is a multifaceted issue with various components factoring into its success. Key concerns include the implementation of governmental laws and regulations, spay and neuter rates, NGO capacities, and the effectiveness of community education programs. Our mission aligns directly with the United Nations' global Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on animal welfare and addressing the challenges associated with stray and free-roaming dogs through humane and sustainable methods. This approach not only benefits our canine companions but also contributes to overall human and environmental well-being.
